Cuddling after a bath.

Tummy Time!

Precious feet.

2 Months 3 Weeks Old - Pictures

She fell asleep like this.

Getting ready to go to Nana's house.

2 1/2 Month Pictures

I've gotten behind with India's pictures, so it's catch-up time. Here we go:

Bath time in her new bath tub. She has outgrown the little rubbermaid bathtub that the hospital gave us. (I blurred out her goods but wanted you all to see her leg rolls!!)

I love all the faces she makes. She's so animated!

The shirt say's it all...

These were just too cute not to post.

Colic/GERD/Sensitive Tummy

I took India to the doctor this morning. She's been having some really fussy nights lately and it seems like nothing we do helps to soothe or calm her down. Last night was especially trying on all of us. She cried from about 7:30 until about 10 non-stop and then was very sensitive until about 12. I held her all night and finally went to bed around 5:30 this morning. It breaks my heart that I didn't know how to make her feel better.

So anyway, the doctor said she might be a little colicy (if that's a word) and/or have some reflux. She's having me change her formula to one for sensitive tummies and also gave me a Rx for baby zantac. Hopefully one of those things will help her to feel better. The doc also said that I can start giving her some diluted prune juice (1oz juice, 1oz water) if I think she is constipated. So far I think she's ok in that department. She is going every 2-3 days, which the doc said is normal at this point. Her body is still adjusting to the formula, so we'll see.

Other than all that, India seems to be doing great. She's growing and growing some more. She weighs 12lbs. 13oz. and has beautifully chunky cheeks. The doctor said she looks and sounds fantastic!

Giggle-bunny

For the past few days I've heard India laugh in her sleep. I'm not sure what she's dreaming about, but I hope she continues to have those dreams because it's so cute! Nana also made her laugh twice today while she was awake!! She's got some ticklish spots and now we know where they are. Her laugh is awesome (just like the rest of her) and it's the best sound in the world.

Graduated!

India graduated to wearing #2 diapers and 3-6month clothes. She's growing so fast!! I still haven't been able to find her a Dallas Cowboys shirt to wear when she watches the football game with her daddy. The smallest I've found is 12months. Way to big for her right now. Maybe I'll make her one, IRON-ON!

I bought her a "Baby's First Christmas" stocking on Saturday. It's too cute. I'll post a picture of it later.

5 Hours!

India slept for five hours without waking up last night! Hurray!! Needless to say I was loving it. I haven't slept that many consecutive hours in almost three months. Ah, sleep. It's a wonderful thing.  ;P

Switched to formula

Well, we switched India to formula this weekend. So far she is doing really well with it. It's so much more convenient for me and I think it's better for her because it is more consistent. She seems more content after eating and sleeps better.

Me, on the other hand, I'm in lots of pain. It was expected though. At least now I know what it would feel like to get a boob job. They are huge, hard, and hurtin'! I put cabbage leaves on them all weekend and pretty much stunk, not sure if it helped or not. The enzymes in the cabbage are supposed to help stop the milk production or something like that. It's very old fashioned. It's been two days since I've pumped or fed India from my breast and i'm still producing milk, but it has slowed down. Hopefully it will go away soon.

Happy Halloween!!

This is the costume I wanted to get for India, but didn't order it in time. So – I improvised!

This is what she really wore for Halloween.

BOO!

I think I've made my decision.

After long talks with my mom, my sister, Amy and Danny - and a few sobs and pumps later - I've decided that it's time. My baby girl will be fine when I switch her over to formula, and will probably have an easier time. I'm calling her doctor to find out the best method of switching her over and will probably start this weekend. Wish me luck! I'm sure I'll have a few more cries, but I think it's better for everyone, including myself.
