6 Months Old!

India turned 6 months old yesterday! She also had a big accomplishment - she found her toes!!

India's Got a Cold :(

Everyone around us has gotten the flu. India and I are the only ones that haven't gotten it yet (knock on wood). So last week I had to stay home with her because Nana had the flu and couldn't watch her. On Thursday, India started coughing and was feeling a little warm to me so I went ahead and took her to the doctor. Just so you know, they can't do anything for babies that are under 1year if they get the flu. All you can do is treat the symptoms, which is pretty much just giving tylenol for fever and aches/pains. Made me sad, but the doctor said that if India had the flu that it was too early to tell anyway. So they checked her for everything else and she has a sore throat and cough. Doc said hopefully it's just a cold. So they sent us on our way. But we got to find out how much she weighs!! LOL. She's at 16lbs 9.5oz!

Other updates:

I really loved all the time I got to spend with India last week. She is the happiest baby in the world. Even for not feeling well. She smiles all the time and loves to laugh. I finally mastered giving her medicine with a dropper and not having her spit it all out, and India mastered turning over from her back to her stomach. She's such a pro now that it takes her only a couple of seconds. Yesterday I layed her on her back, turned around to get her toys to put on the floor for her, and when I turned back she was already on her belly. She's also getting really good at sitting up. Still needs some support, but she's getting there. I have a feeling that crawling isn't too far away!!

Some Pictures in Tea Time Exersaucer

So my mom got an exersaucer to keep at her house for India. It's the "Tea Time" version. Cute. So far India seems to like it.

It's been a busy month so far. India is still growing like a weed and she has developed a great personality. She's always smiling and laughing. It's so awesome. I look forward to coming home to her smiling face. It really gets me through the day. 

She has been consistently eating Oatmeal cereal for breakfast and Rice cereal for dinner (with a spoon, not a bottle). Soon we'll be able to start her on some veggies. I'll probably wait until after her 6month appointment to do that. We go on February 20th.

5 Months Old!

Time is just flying by and India is already 5 months old! Can you believe it? She's getting so big and has so much character it's amazing. Some cool new things she's doing is trying to mimic sounds. Before she would just make noise, now, when I say "I Love You" she moves her mouth in the same way trying to make the same sounds. It's really neat. This past week I taught her how to growl. Pretty fricken' hilarious if you ask me. She growls at her toys now and will growl at me and her Nana. I'll see if I can get some video of it to post. In the meantime, here are some pictures.

This is India with her cousin, Katelyn, and Nana. We went to cousin, Scotty's b-day party on Saturday and India met her cousins for the first time.

Finally... Pictures with Daddy!

We finally got a chance to take some pictures of India with her daddy. So sweet!!

And he found out that she's definitely going to be a hair puller!

We finally got her to sit in the exersaucer without crying. She seemed to enjoy it and was pounding away at the buttons. Hurray!

Here's a picture from last night. I was trying to feed her cereal and she fell asleep. The bib says it all.

Things are good.

Things are going good. India's sleeping longer at night and has started eating cereal twice a day. She seems to like it. It took her a while to figure out how to eat from the spoon, but now she's a PRO! The funnest part of feeding her cereal is when she tries to talk with her mouth full and spits it at me. Danny gets a BIG kick out of it. We're still trying to get her used to the exersauser. I'm introducing her to one toy at a time so she doesn't get so overwhelmed again. Then, once she's happy with all the toys I'll stick her back in it and see what happens. Her favorite cartoon is SpongeBob and her favorite song is ABC's. Nana sings them to her and she tries to sing along. It's so sweet! That's all for now.  :)

I'm going to try and get some pictures of her in her Exersaucer, but so far she just cries when I put her in it. She's still a little small and I think all the toys and noises overwhelm her. One day she'll figure out how fun it is.  ;)
