Dada?
OK, so I know it's been a long time since my last post. We've been extremely busy lately so I apologize. Since my last post, India has done so much. I hope I don't forget to tell you anything. She will be 9months old on May 18th, which is only 12days away. I can't believe it!!
Daycare
She started going to daycare on April 20th. Nana got too busy with her home business and couldn't watch her anymore. So we found a good daycare that was recommended by a friend. After two days of going to daycare, India got sick (figures, right?). She caught a virus and also got an ear infection. She's still working on getting rid of both, but is doing much better. She's getting used to the nice ladies that watch her and I think is starting to enjoy going there. She gets to interact with other children her age and I think that's great.
Food
She is eating PUFFS like crazy and also eating yogurt melts. Both of which she feeds herself. She holds her own bottles and is starting to use a sippy cup. She pretty much eats everything now - - except chicken...still trying to get her to like the taste. We're going to start her on table foods soon and start giving her larger bottles. Probably 6oz.
Crawling
She's still really trying to crawl. She is all over the place already, I can't imagine how it's going to be once she figures out how to be more mobile. She is really good at rolling and scooting and when she tries to crawl she goes backwards. LOL. It's so cute.
Sitting
She sits up completely on her own now and rarely falls over. She will go from sitting to crawling and back to sitting on her own. She loves to play on the floor with her toys and also still loves her excersaucer. At the daycare she has a jumperoo and she loves it too. I'm thinking about getting her one for the house too.
Talking
This is a BIG one...She started saying Dada last night (so jealous). It was precious and Danny was there to hear it, which made is so much better. She is so awesome. I can't describe how freakin' cool she is. If you haven't already met her, I can't wait for you to. You will fall in love. :)
Smiles
She is all smiles all the time. SO happy and trusting and loving. Her laugh is the best sound in the world and she loves to share it.
OK, I think i covered pretty much everything. If i think of anything else I'll post again. Here's some pictures :)
She got her first taste of grass this day. She didn't think it tasted so good, but she kept pulling it out and putting it in her mouth.

Eatin' PUFFS...She lost one.

Eatin' Puffs
So, India will be 8 months old this Saturday. She's still growing like a weed and learning all kinds of new things. She's working really hard on crawling but is really good at scootin' backwards. It's funny because she gets frustrated when she doesn't go forward. She'll have it down soon though. I've also started feeding her "puffs". It's something she can pick up and put in her mouth by herself. It's supposed to teach her to use her pincher fingers. She's gotten it pretty good. Here's a picture of her right after she put one in her mouth.

So cute! LOL. After all the teething issues we've had, there is still no sign of any surfacing. I'm sure she'll get them soon though.
Other than that, we are just enjoying being around her. She's so happy and her laugh is contagious. I love it. She's the most awesome thing in the world.

Over 7 Months!!
India turned 7 months on the 18th and I’ve been meaning to get some pictures of her but been so busy. I finally did some the other night. Her biggest accomplishment so far is getting up on her knees a rocking forward. She really wants to crawl! I’m so excited...except now I have to child proof my house.
She's also bouncing a whole lot when she gets excited. We call it her "Baby Dance"

Teething
The past week India's really been struggling. I think her teeth are really trying to come in. Poor baby girl. :(

Mmmmm, veggies
So far India's made it through squash and green beans. We started her on sweet peas last night. I tasted them and they weren't too bad. She didn't seem to have a problem with them. She's also holding her own bottle now and working on the sippy cup. I think she does better without handles, so I need to get her a sippy cup without handles.
Other than that, she's sitting up really good and skootin' around on the floor. She's so happy and I love her so much!!! I'll have more pictures soon.

Eatin' Good!
We've started India on veggies - first up is squash. She seems to like it when it's really cold, but when I feed it to her room temp she makes some really funny faces. Tonight will be the last night for squash and then we're switching to green beans!

She's also getting really good at holding her bottle. I let her do it while she's eating her cereal so that she gets used to holding the bottle up and drinking in sips rather than the entire bottle at once. It's working out pretty good so far. She'll be using a sippy cup in no time!

So much progress!!
There has been so much going on that I haven't had time to update the site.
India had her 6month appointment on Friday, February 20th. She got her shots and weighed in at 16lbs 10.5oz. That puts her in the 60th percentile for weight. She is only 25in long which puts her at 25th percentile for height. She's gonna be short like her mommy.

Other developements:
Other than finding her toes, India has been rolling onto her tummy from her back for a few weeks now and is really good at it. She is learning how to control her hand, arm and leg muscles. She puts her bottle in her mouth but doesn't know to hold it up for milk... I have to help her. She kicks like crazy when I'm trying to change her diaper and she likes to bounce around when she's sitting on our laps.
She'll be crawling very soon! Last night she pushed herself all the way across her blanket three or four times. She's not raising up onto her hands and knees yet, so her tummy is dragging, but she's getting around pretty good already. I recorded some of it but like everything else, once I get the camcorder out she stops doing whatever I'm trying to capture. :( Boo
Mommy and Daddy are doing good and love her so much. It's a joy to be around her and I miss her so much when we're apart. The highlight of my day is walking in to Nana's house and seeing the big smile on her face when she sees me.
Here are some cute pictures of India and her Daddy from the other night...
