Back to Work

Well, today is my first day back to work since my vacation. My sister and my nieces and nephew leave to go home this morning, and it makes me sad.  :(

How was the vacation?
We had a fabulous time. It was great to see all of my family and spend time with the kids. My sister is absolutely awesome. She has done so much for me already and also threw me a wonderful baby shower while she was here. Her and my mom worked very hard and it turned out beautiful. I can't say thank you enough. The whole experience was awesome and I am truly grateful. It was so much fun. I'm going to post some pictures from the shower in a little bit. I'm downloading them now. Stay tuned...

30 Week Appointment

Well my doctor's back and I got to see her today. She measured my tummy and listened to India's heart beat (140's). Everything is normal. I didn't gain any weight since my last appointment, but she didn't say that it was good or bad, so I guess my weight is still normal too. Normal is GOOD!

So, last Thursday I was having a lot of braxton hicks contractions. It's a little much for me to be having at this stage of my pregnancy, but they eventually tapered off so everything is ok. I mention this because Thursday night I had an interesting dream.

My dream:
I looked down at my tummy and my baby girl was pressing her hand out and I could see the impression. I reached down and grabbed her hand and my stomach suddenly fell off! Nothing gross, just sort-of fell open from the top. Danny and I played with our baby girl for a little while, she was so cute and seemed so happy and sweet. Then, I said "OK, it's not time for you to be here yet" and then I leaned her back against my body and pulled my stomach back over her. And everything was normal again.

It was really weird, but I think it was my body's way of telling me that everything is ok and that the contractions I was having weren't real. Pretty crazy, huh?

My Sister and all her Babies!

My sister and all her babies will be arriving in Dallas tonight from SC. I'm so excited! I haven't seen my nieces in a very long time, and I haven't even met one of them! I hope they have a very safe flight, I can't wait to see them!!

I will be taking vacation all next week to spend time with them. I think we're going to go to the Ft. Worth Zoo one day, so stay tuned for some good pictures from that. We'll also be taking the kids to the lake house and taking them fishing for the first time. I hope they have fun!!

Also, my sister mentioned that she dyed my oldest niece's (Jorgey's) hair. She is so much like my sister and I when we were in high school. It will be great to spend some time with her and see the great personality that she's grown into.

Update on baby...
I bought some batteries last night for my portable CD player. I picked out a bunch of CDs and I'm going to put the headphones on my stomach while I'm working so I can play some good music for India throughout the day. So far I have Ronan Hardiman "Anthem", Purified "The Liquid Lounge"(a compilation CD), Yeke Yeke Mix CD, Arabic Groove, Celtic Trance, The Fifth Element Soundtrack, Mushroom Jazz, G. Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue", John Mayer "Room for Squares", a nameless Belly Dancing CD, Celtic Flutes, Infusions, Enya "Paint the sky with Stars" and "Watermrk", Mozart "Musical Masterpieces", Vibrations "Music for balancing your Chakras", Elements "Music for Reiki healing", Om Shanti "Music for performing yoga", Wood Rhythms "Chanting Dance of the Native People",  Norah Jones "Come Away with Me", Aquaria "A Liquid Blue Trancescape" and finally, Rascal Flatts "Melt".

I'm trying to give her a good variety but also keep it positive and stimulating. She listens to rock with me already on the drive home everyday, so I think I have everything covered pretty well.

Talk to you all again soon!!

Sneaky Stretchies...

So, I've been feeling really good and thought that I might be one of the lucky ones that don't get stretch marks or I would just get them closer to my due date. Apparently not. Those sneaky little stretchies are HIDING UNDER MY BOOBS!!! I had Danny rub belly oil on me before bedtime last night and he spotted them. Stupid stretch marks. Well, at least they're only on the underside of my boobs for now. Made me sad though. Danny thought I was going to cry. Then he suggested I get a boob job after the pregnancy to make them go away... Men.
